The Lead Sprinkler was a painful form of torture deny its small size. At first glance many can think it to be nothing more than something a pope would use to sprinkle holy water, but in reality, this instrument is much more complex. The torturer would pour molten metals in one end and they would slowly rush to the other side while they fell on any part of the victim’s body. This instrument was used during executions. A common method of execution with the lead sprinkler was to pour molten silver on their eyes. This caused extreme pain and eventually caused death.
